Services
In a consultation, you will have full and individualized access to my time and expertise without the ongoing commitment to therapy sessions. I give you practical advice on using visual supports in daily life, and can teach you how to make your own customized visual activities or communication displays, based on your family’s needs - or create them for you. I can also help brainstorm recreational and/or vocational activities that will be age-appropriate and fun for your teenager or young adult. If you’re trying to decide on therapeutic approaches or techniques, I can explore the relevant research literature and interpret peer-reviewed research findings for you. Consulting by Zoom or telephone is available to all Massachusetts locations, with the possibility of in-home consulting if you live in the greater Boston area. I can provide you with a written summary of recommendations following our meeting.

Speech-Language Evaulations via Telepractice
My evaluations are strengths-based, with a focus on visual supports for fostering communication development rather than administering standardized tests. An evaluation usually involves two 30-minute Zoom meetings. In the first, I learn from you, the parent or guardian, about how your child currently communicates, what their interests are, and what their daily routines are like. Then, I use this information as a foundation to design and conduct an online session with your child (the second Zoom meeting), where I focus on determining the types of visual supports that will be most appropriate and effective for them. Finally, I provide you with a written evaluation report explaining my findings and suggesting next steps. If, after that, you would like further assistance with creating and integrating visual supports, we can schedule additional consultation time (see Consultations for Families, above) and/or begin individual therapy.
Individual Speech-Language Therapy via Telepractice
Treatment sessions last 30-45 minutes, depending on what will work best for your child’s needs. I design activities based on your child’s interests and the types of visual supports that are appropriate for your child. I often incorporate green screen technology, AI, image editing software, and slide decks with animations to make sessions fun and engaging. My focus is on increasing functional communication in ways that are meaningful to young people and their caregivers, and building skills in vocabulary and grammar to support their progress over time. Depending on your child’s needs and goals, areas we work on may include receptive and expressive language, social pragmatics, organization/executive functioning, speech intelligibility, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
